ORTEGA RIVER DREDGE - JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - DUVAL COUNTY Services Provided: Design and permitting activities for a recreational channel on a 3-mile portion of the Ortega River at the confluence with St. Johns River. Activities included digital terrain modeling for the exsting and post-dredging conditions, dredging calculations, sediment transportation analysis, aids to navigation design and coordination with project team to obtain hydrographic surveys, sediment analysis, benthic surveys, archaelogical surveys as well as coordination.

ARLINGTON RIVER / POTTSBURG CREEK - JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - DUVAL COUNTY Services Provided: Design, dredging calculations and permitting activities for a recreational channel on a 5.5 mile river. Activities included digital terrain modeling for the existing and post-dredging conditions, dredging calculations, sediment transportation analysis, aids to navigation design, pile erosion analysis, dredging nethodologies to use, spoil material transportation and coordination with project team to obtain hydrographic surveys, sediment analysis, benthic surveys, archaelogical surveys as well as coordination with the City of Jacksonville, USACOE and USCG permitting staff.

ORLANDO SCIENCE CENTER - CITY OF ORLANDO, FLORIDA - ORANGE COUNTY Services Provided: The New Orlando Science Center is a dynamic educational facility designed to meet the needs of Central Florida for the next 40 years. The 193,000 sq. ft. facility incorporates 42,000 sq. ft of exciting, interactive exhibit space which includes 8,000 sq. ft. allotted for national and international traveling exhibits. The facility also contains 12,000 sq. ft. of classrooms, meeting and assembly areas for educational programs which will serve students in a six county area. There is also an extensive Teacher Resource Center and Comprehensive Teacher Training Institute for pre-service and in-service training of teachers. The Center also contains a state-of-the-art 320 seat, 79 foot domed planetarium and Iwerks large-screen format theatre. In addition, there is 800 sq. ft. observatory, 250-seat science demonstration theater which features daily live performances. The facility has incorporated a 400 seat dining facility as well as a cafe for a quick snack. Due to site constraints, a parking garage was built across the street from the Science Center and is directly connected by an enclosed pedestrian bridge which runs above the street below.
